How Much Do You Charge?
Every project is different - with mixing it depends a lot on the length of the track, and how many raw multi tracks there are to mix, but a general guide would be £250-£400.
Production is also quite varied - if I’m taking a solid demo and just adding a couple of extra elements, or rebuilding a drum part then that’s much quicker for me than taking a bare bones voice note and building a whole track around it from scratch. If you have a production project in mind it’s generally best if we can jump on a call, so we can make sure that we’re a good fit, and I can give you a price.
I really love my demo, is there any point in working with you?
Yes! Some of my favourite projects are where the artist has a strong demo already. I can work with them to simply add a little polish to their track and give it that professional sheen that will set it apart from other releases
How long does it take to work on a track with you?
Once we’re all booked in a mix is usually 1-2 days before I supply a V1 for feedback, and I usually turn around revisions within a couple of working days of receiving notes.Production projects are usually turned around in 3-5 days, depending on how much we’re doing together.
What genres do you work in?
Over the years I’ve worked in many different styles, but I’ve slowly narrowed that down to the alt/pop/electronic world. I’ve found that I can provide a better service to my clients now that I specialise, instead of trying to be a ‘Jack of all trades’.
When it comes to mixing I can cover a wide range of adjacent sub genres, whereas for production my studio lends itself best to a synth based, retro sound.
How do I know when my song is ready to work on with you?
Your song is ready when you decide you’d like some help with it - I can jump in at any time! If you’ve got this great idea for a chorus vocal but nothing else then I can help you flesh it out into a whole song, adding instrumentation, drums and everything it needs. If you’ve got a production that you’re totally happy is finished, then I can give your track a professional mix to give it that secret sauce.
What do I do if I can’t record at home but I’m too far away to come to your studio?
No problem! I can help you find a studio that’s a good fit for you in your local area. I can communicate with the engineers there directly so you don’t have to worry about the technical side of things, and where available I can even run the session remotely via Zoom.
